At home with Nikki Yazxhi,
founder of Bellamumma

This month, we tour back up to Sydney’s Northern Beaches, to the home of lifestyle blog Bellamumma creator and editor, Nikki Yazxhi. 

Set amongst a classic Avalon landscape of palms and lush greenery, Nikki’s beautifully renovated ‘40s beach house features a stunning all-marble kitchen, gorgeous detailing, and a custom-built alcohol cabinet that would make any mixologist or connoisseur blush. Here, Nikki lives with her two boys, her husband, Adam, owner of Maxco, and their labradoodle, Jake. 

Step inside this charming home with us as we chat to Nikki about “me time”, her most-loved features of the build, and - of course - her favourite fragrance.

Tell us a bit about your home - what are your three favourite things about it?
After almost 15 years of living in our home we were at a crossroads whether to move out in search of more space. The boys were 14 and 11, and we couldn’t decide whether to sell and buy something bigger, or stay in a house and area we love and renovate to make the space work better. We chose to renovate and put the money we would have spent on moving and stamp duty into creating our ultimate home. My three fave things would be:
1. Our butler’s pantry {otherwise known as my survival kit !!!} - seriously it’s the hub of the home.
2. Our new Muuse Collection Pink Landscape artwork in the dining room… we only recently hung it. The wall has been bare for the last 4 years, and finally we found the perfect piece.
3. Hmmm, lastly probably our shower in our ensuite. The bathroom is a haven away from everything and every screen!!! 

If you lived anywhere else, where would it be?
I think it would be New Zealand. We really love it there, the architecture, food, people and the vibe. 

As a blogger & stylist, you must do a lot of hard work behind the scenes that no one sees. How do you make room for “me time”?
Ha, easier said than done. {See my third fave house thing!} I think I even multi-task during my me-time as I take Jake for a walk to Careel Bay. Fresh air, exercise, and the smell of salt water does wonders.

What is your favourite fragrance and why?
OMG I am SO obsessed with your Bergamot, Jasmine and Lime range. I can’t get enough of it. I spray the room mist around all the house all the time. I even spray it and walk through it so I smell like the fragrance when I leave the house!!!

I get really freaked out by babies wearing sunglasses!
